A pair of 18k white gold masculine hands is sculpted with realistic expressions in the attractive anatomical details and bone structures. The hands have great aesthetic naturalism, portrayed elegantly holding a ‘pine- cone’ known as Mullilu in the ancient Akkadian language. This has been visually inspired from the hand portrayals and the classic representation of winged genies that were first depicted on Assyrian palatial stone relief. Hand-polished onyx, with subtle arched ridges, form the head of pine- cone, shimmering with a mysterious, calming black lustre, contrasting with the icy, sharp tone created by the 18k white gold. The oval pine-cone body, incised with numerous granule modellings on the prototype glyphic masterpiece, is now lavishly bathed in the Antiquarian style with pavé-set black diamonds. A rosette bracelet, embossed to the surface of the wrist, features radiating petals that are meticulously calibrated in Assyrian rosette style via their pointed floral tips. An abstract 18k white gold greenery representation, with black diamonds embedded on the terminal of each branch, symbolises the ‘tree of life’ that is presented in front of the winged male figure on the inspirational stone relief. The 18k white gold butterflies are styled into a pomegranate, with an embossed rosette embracing the lower body in elegant low relief, and a black diamond is encased in the sculptural 18k white gold calyx.
